With continued demand for their delightful cakes,
The Handmade Cake Company’s facility was near
to bursting. With a solution now essential, they
took over a warehouse at the rear of the current
site and set about the installation of a new 400M2
deep freeze facility for the long term storage of the
finished product.
With the quality of their product being the real
signature of the company it was essential the
freezer have the correct duty and capacity to
ensure this quality was maintained.
With the removal of the freezer for the current factory
meant some existing plant could be retained with
some additional plant added to offer the necessary
additional.
Miramar was able to complete the installation,
maintain the existing freezer until completion of
the new unit, at which point through careful and
considered management of plant they were able to
run both facilities at the same time until such time
as stock transfer was complete at which point the
old freezer could be decommissioned and all plant
driven towards the new unit.
The project was a complete success, the new plant
was also integrated into the sites existing RDM
energy management system.
With a strong initial trading period giving Miramar both
strong financial and work flow foundations we reacted to our
customers’ demands for a mechanical engineering ability
with the reaction and solid service they had experienced
with the refrigeration department. In early 2016 Gregory
approached Benjamin, Owner of FHS mechanical and an
agreement was done that saw Ben join the team at Miramar
with the soul focus on our mechanical activities. Now in
late 2017 Miramar stands able to deal with refrigeration,
mechanical and electrical demands. Recognised and
certified in each field individually we have the capacity
and ability to deal with any element of food factory service
support as well as offer turn key solutions to larger projects
