With the changes in legislation pushing the
traditional refrigerants to retirement, there is now
the necessity to investigate the new refrigerants
that have come to market. Tesco as one of the
UK’s largest refrigeration users have a particular
interest in this.
Tesco made the decision to carry out test
installations at sites across the UK. Miramar was
chosen to carry out the installation of new plant,
pipework and display cases at the Bridge North
site. The system was then filled using a recent to
market refrigerant R449A.
Miramar was awarded this installation on the
back of their record of significant successful
installation, Mr Bell, the awarding project
manager said
“When this critical project arose the first call went to Miramar,
who, as we predicted, delivered the project without fault”
